Q - Do you modify the mic preamps on the 828mk2?
A - Yes, we modify all of the inputs and outputs, including the mic preamps and headphone output. We think our preamps are pretty darn good, and will compete with many high-end designs.
Q - How long is the typical turnaround time for a modification?
A - It varies. Typically it's about 3-5 days for Motu units, but the 896 is much more labor intensive. Turnaround time for those can stretch to 7-10 days.
Q - Do you modify the Ultralite / Traveller / 8 Pre / or MOTU mkIII gear?
A - No, we do not modify the Ultralite / Traveller / 8 Pre, or any mkIII units (except for the 2408mkIII). We really are not as pleased with their results as we are the other Motu gear that we do mod, and it just isn't worth the time, $ and effort for either us or our customers.
Q - Do you offer any kind of warranty or guarantee?
A - Yes, we provide a two (2) year warranty on all of our work. If you experience any modification-related malfunction with your unit within 30 days of receiving it back from us, we will take care of it free of charge, and we'll pick up the shipping cost!
