Producer // Engineer // Mixer
Peter Mokran is a multiple grammy losing (and occasional winning) Mixer, Engineer and Producer, originally from Chicago. After graduating from the DePaul University School of Music, he teamed up with R. Kelly and engineered, programmed and mixed Kelly’s first two No. 1 albums, including the single “Bump n’ Grind”, which was the longest-running number one single on the Billboard R&B charts and rose to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Mokran has mixed and produced for a variety of prominent artists across many genres (and sample rates), including Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera, Maxwell, John Legend, Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, The Flaming Lips, Aaliyah, Quincy Jones, Sergio Mendes, N Sync, Meat Loaf, Prince, and Michael Jackson. He has mixed 17 No. 1 singles, and in 2014 received his third Latin Grammy with the group Camila. Peter resides in Los Angeles, and bounces between Conway Studios and his home studio.
“I’m loving my B.L.A. gear. I’m using it every day, and am hooked on the sound. I’m even schlepping it to all the studios I frequent!”
