We've gotten requests for this from time to time and have discussed it at length internally. We really want to meet customer demand, of course, but we feel that modding MPC Keys products comes with many risks that are not a factor in typical MPCs and interfaces, including the following:

• The MPC keys products can be up to four times the size of the other units we mod, making shipping much more expensive for the customer.
• Keybeds are generally fragile and would need to be packaged for shipping with extra caution and insured. We're concerned about the possibility of keys getting broken in shipping. The risk is doubled considering the unit needs to be shipped twice for the mod to take place.
• With so many moving parts, it's possible that there could already be something wrong with a keyboard/keybed when we receive it that the customer is unaware of. Then when we return the modded unit and the pre-existing issue is discovered by the customer, it could leave the impression that Black Lion Audio broke the keyboard during the mod process.
