macOS 27 Golden Gate — MIDI Eight Compatibility Notice
Black Lion Audio is currently evaluating compatibility between the MIDI Eight USB MIDI interface and Apple's recently released macOS 27 Golden Gate.
We recommend that customers who rely on the MIDI Eight for critical recording or live performance workflows refrain from upgrading to macOS 27 until compatibility testing has been completed.
We are aware of reports involving MIDI communication issues, including hanging or sustained notes, affecting certain class-compliant MIDI devices and music applications following the macOS 27 update.
These issues appear to be associated with changes to Apple's CoreMIDI framework and are not isolated to Black Lion Audio products.
At this time, MIDI Eight compatibility with macOS 27 remains under evaluation. Black Lion Audio will continue monitoring developments from Apple and software manufacturers and will provide updated compatibility information as it becomes available.
